Classroom Management and Behaviour

One of the greatest challenges in teaching is classroom management.  This involves being student centered and having the students actively involved in what is being studied and learned.  However, it does involve more than just being creative in how the lesson is presented as students may 'bring with them' many issues related to their own interests, interpersonal relationships with others in the class, mental health issues and wide range of learning difficulties.

The Hawthorne Educational Services Manuals, for the most part are based on extensive standardization of rating forms which can be scored using a technical manual, where each item on the rating scale matches a page of strategies to use for this item in the matching Intervention Manual.

The Behaviour Intervention Manual (BIM) a very popular manual is a composite of the many manuals available.
